Marko Mitchell Is About To See His Improvement Halted
Good news from Redskins Insider’s Jason Reid: Wide receiver Marko Mitchell is a “lock” to make the Redskins 53-man roster. But there’s a downside. A big one:
The rookie opened eyes in training camp and has been the star of the preseason. Mitchell still needs a lot of work on special teams, and coach Danny Smith will tutor him throughout the regular season.
So close, Marko. SO close. After a few weeks tutoring by Danny Smith, Mitchell will be running sideways on punt coverage, think that grabbing onto an opponent’s jersey is an acceptable way to block and will began shanking all receptions.
